SH. RAJIV KHOSLA ( MEMBER ) Bar Council of Delhi
Joined the Profession in 1981 at Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi 110054 and elected as an additional secretary of Delhi Bar Association twice since 1986, thereafter as Hony. Secretary for 5 terms and also elected as President of Delhi Bar Association for 4 terms. Thereafter shifted to Delhi High Court in the year 2012 and was also elected as President of Delhi High Court Bar Association. Beside this , also got elected as member Bar Council of Delhi since 1992 for 5 consecutive terms
ACHIEVEMENTS:- 1. Led agitation against the then DCP, North Ms. Kiran Bedi for directing Brutal Lathi Charge on Tishazari Lawyers and got her shunted out and did not allow her to become Police Commissioner in Delhi. 2. Forced the Authorities to withdraw the clause in the Family Courts Act debarring the lawyers from practicing in matrimonial matters. 3. Formed Human Chain around Supreme Court in respect of illegal judgment suspending the licence of the then Chairman of Bar Council of India Sh. VC Mishra in a contempt case and successfully got the said Judgement set aside from the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court. 4. Successfully protested against the entry of foreign lawyers for practicing in Indian Courts without reciprocity and also got stalled several anti-advocate amendments being brought by the Government in the Advocates Act. 5. Formed another Human Chain with several thousands of lawyers around Supreme Court to provide mechanism for action against misconduct of Judges. 6. Consistently demanded the Constitution of National Judicial Commission for selection of Judges to the High Court and Supreme Court. 7. Protested against the CPC amendments by organizing march of 40,000 lawyers 8. Led the march of 30000 lawyers against the CrPC amendments which were empowering police to grant Bail for all offences punishable upto 7 years. 9. Instrumental in bringing the Lawyers welfare scheme in Delhi. 10. Started E-filing in Delhi High Court as a pilot project which later on is adopted in all matters in High Court and in several matters of District Court 11. Helped hundreds of lawyers during Corona for providing Oxygen and other necessities.
