SH. AJAY SONDHI ( CO-CHAIRMAN ) Bar Council of Delhi
Ajay is the Co-chairman and Member of Bar Council of Delhi. He is the founder of Sondhi Law Chambers. He is a dual qualified lawyer- an advocate registered with the Bar Council of Delhi and practicing in Delhi and is also a New York State Bar qualified attorney. He has gained a good work experience in India as well in New York. He was associated with Sabharwal & Finkel LLC, New York, as a foreign associate wherein he was a part of the litigation team. He was a foreign qualified associate at White & Case LLP, New York in the Project Finance Practice of the firm. He is familiar with the issues involved in both domestic and international financing and has worked as international counsel in US deals including investments into Indian entities by corporate groups based out of US and other European jurisdictions. He joined the Banking and Finance Group of Luthra & Luthra in November 2008 and has since worked on some of the leading financing deals. He is well versed with the issues arising in financing of projects in sectors such as power, oil & gas, hospitals etc. From 2014 until October 2020, Ajay was associated with Sondhi Narula Dalal & Associates Law Offices as a Partner and was handling and heading Corporate and Litigation (Matrimonial, Property and Criminal) division of the Firm.
